Received them beaten up, April 14, 2010

I usually buy this product directly from the store and not online. When I opened the bottle the vitamins seemed kind of broken up and not as “fresh” as when I buy them directly from the pet store. Now that I’ve used almost all of the vitamins and can see the bottom of the bottle, there’s a lot of powdered vitamin at the bottom. Seems either it was a very rough shipment or these weren’t stored properly before I received them.

My 7 year old lab loves these. I was unsure at first because of some of the negative reviews but he eats them. He is in good shape as it is so I didn’t notice anything with him taking them, but I can’t say I notice anything when taking my own vitamins, LOL.

No Manufacturing Date, August 9, 2010

I’ve given my dogs these supplements their entire lives, but the one thing that concerns me is that the bottles Amazon have shipped to me are always quite old.

The manufacturing date (they come from India) is usually a year and a half ago. That seems quite old, there’s no expiry date either.

I did buy from PetCo recently(through Amazon) and the one they sent me didn’t even have a manufacturing date on it!

That just doesn’t seem right.

So far, So good!, April 9, 2009
This review is from: Pet-Tabs Supplement for Dogs, 365 Tablets (Misc.)

These seem to be great vitamins for my dogs. They have only taken them for over a few weeks now but I think their coats look shinier, feel softer and I swear they have more energy. If that’s even possible! And they LOVE the taste of them. Which is good, because the other vitamins I tried, they just spit them out.

Excellent Results, but Keep it Refrigerated, December 26, 2007

This review is from: Grizzly Salmon Oil All-Natural Dog Food Supplement in Pump-Bottle Dispenser, 32 Ounces (Misc.)

We have a nearly 9 year old Malamute. He has a fabulous coat of hair but was starting to get chronic skin problems. The salmon oil cured him. The results were quick (within a month). The only “special” advice I would offer is KEEP IT REFRIGERATED. Our malamute is obsessively food-centric… he will eat almost anything; but when the last of the large bottle I was storing at room temperature (mid sixties) went rancid he refused his kibble. I made the mistake of buying 4 large bottles all at once. I suggest you get them one at a time and keep it refrigerated (even though it says you can keep it at room temperature).

Does this product have Mercury? I got my answer from the company., October 8, 2008
This review is from: Grizzly Salmon Oil All-Natural Dog Food Supplement in Pump-Bottle Dispenser, 32 Ounces (Misc.)

Thank you for your inquiry. Our oil is regularly tested for mercury, PCB’s and other toxins. All levels are below the method detection limit, meaning that the levels are so low that they cannot be detected. Because our oil is from all wild Alaskan salmon it is inherently free of the toxins that you are more likely to find in farmed fish and farmed fish products. Please contact us with any additional questions at [email protected]

Grizzly Salmon Oil for dogs’ coats, March 16, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What’s this?)

I have used several commercially prepared products over the past twenty years. Grizzly Salmon oil seems to be providing the nutrients necessary for good coats on my dogs, and I have been putting two squirts into the dogs’ food daily for about six months. I have three Labrador retrievers, and all are sporting their best coats. I have used Lipiderm in the past, which also works very well. I believe that quite a few of the products marketed for improving good skin and coats are effective, and occasionally try out a new one. I don’t believe the advertisements, but prefer to read labels, look for key ingredients, and try for myself.
