Spokane WA – Labrador Retriever Border Collie Mix Dog For Adoption

Meet Trip, Lab Border Collie mix Dog For Adoption in Spokane Washington

Trip is a Male Labrador Retriever Border Collie mix dog for adoption to a very loving home in or near Spokane, Washington. This very special Lab mix is 3 years old years old and weighs 70 pounds.

Trip is in good health. He is neutered and up to date on shots. He is special needs, having had to have one of his legs amputated when he was in a shelter. This doesn’t really hold him back, but he does need a home where the floor surfaces are mostly carpeted.

Trip is very sweet, playful and devoted. He loves to play fetch and tug-o-war (having 3 legs doesn’t hold him back a bit!). He is also a great cuddler and good with children. He is not a fan of noise and commotion, however, and will do best in a quiet home with a solid routine.

Trip is being placed for adoption by owner for the following reason:

Our home is too much for Trip. He needs somewhere that’s focused on him and his needs. He also needs a carpeted home to build his confidence on his remaining legs and someone to walk him every night.

My husband also doesn’t allow him on the furniture and I know he’d love to be able to snuggle on the couch with someone. We’re just too loud and hectic and it makes his anxiety flare up. I’d love to be the right home for him but we aren’t.

Request to Adopt Trip Here

There is a $75 adoption/rehoming fee. Supplies and veterinary records will be included.

Trip’s Personality

He’s loving. He’s incredibly sweet. He’s always up for a walk or exercise. He’s a great guard dog in how vocal he is (though if you actually had someone enter your house he’d be hiding behind you since he’d never hurt a flea.) he’s always up for loves and cuddles.

Trip’s Current Home Environment

It’s hectic. My husband and I work full time and I have two kids under 5. We do our best to give him exercise but we don’t always succeed. He also has a difficult time getting around on anything but carpet due to his missing leg so anywhere with tile has a rug on it in our house.

Trip’s Current Family:

I have two kids under five and my husband and I have been together for 6 years. We are active and noisy most days which is stressful for Trip.

Trip’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Any ball that he can play fetch with. Anything someone will play tug-of-war with.

Cute Trip Story:

Anytime I leave the room and the baby is on the play mat, Trip will walk over and lay down next to her until I come back in the room. Even if I’m still within eyesight.

Why is Trip Being Rehomed?

Our home is too much for Trip. He needs somewhere that’s focused on him and his needs. He also needs a carpeted home to build his confidence on his remaining legs and someone to walk him every night. My husband also doesn’t allow him on the furniture and I know he’d love to be able to snuggle on the couch with someone. We’re just too loud and hectic and it makes his anxiety flare up. I’d love to be the right home for him but we aren’t.

Trip’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Someone retired or who works from home. Carpeted house without stairs since he can go up them but not down them. Someone with time to spend with him and exercise him daily. Someone who understands his anxiety gets the better of him many days but that his still a good, sweet boy that just wants to be loved.

Additional Comments:

He has to go to the right home. Please be aware of his needs.

Roxie is a very affectionate and intelligent dog. She loves spending time with her people, and is very trainable and wants to please. Roxie is looking for a home where she will be cherished and kept safe, happy and healthy. She needs to be in a home where she is the only dog, since other dogs cause her anxiety.

Roxie’s owners are sad to have to find her a loving new home. Unfortunately their back yard and fence were in the path of Hurricane Michael. They have four other dogs, and cannot accommodate Roxie due to her anxiety and fear of other dogs. They feel she will do better in a home where she can be a only dog, and with people who have lots of time for her.

If you have room in your heart and home for this very special German Shepherd Lab mix dog, please offer Roxie a loving home today.

Gets along with dogs: No
Good with Children?: Yes

Accessories Included: Toys, collar, harness and leash.

Roxie’s Personality

1. She is spunky and energetic.
2. She is loving and affectionate.
3. She is intelligent and follows directions if worked with.
4. She is happy and smiles a lot.
5. She is adventurous and curious about her surroundings.

Roxie’s Current Home Environment

Our home environment does not accommodate Roxie, as we have 4 other dogs. Unfortunately, Roxie is unable to live with other dogs. As a result, she does spend more time alone than we would like. We are trying to provide her with as much interaction as we possibly can until we can find her a new and more suitable home.

Roxie’s Current Family:

We love animals; however, we both work full-time, which does not allow for us to give the proper amount of attention that Roxie needs. We had plans of keeping her until Hurricane Michael destroyed our house and fence, so it unfortunately became quite unmanageable to keep her.

Roxie’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Balls, ropes, squeaky toys and chew toys. She loves to go for walks and car rides.

Why is Roxie Being Rehomed?

Hurricane Michael destroyed our house and fence leaving us unable to have proper facilities for her. Also, she can be aggressive towards other dogs due to anxiety.

Roxie’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

We would love to see Roxie in a home where she is loved and can come inside as well as spend time outside. Having a yard with a fence would be a big plus. She would need to be in a home with no other dogs, so that she would feel safe and less anxious. It would be a major plus if she could be taken on outings where she could explore.

Additional Comments:

I would feel much better if I could have updates on Roxie (at least for awhile until I know she has settled in and adjusted). If for whatever reason her new home did not work out, I would be willing to take her back and start a new search for the proper home for her.

Labrador Retriever Mix For Adoption in Bradenton Florida

Meet Richie, Labrador Retriever Mix Dog For Adoption in Bradenton

Richie is a Male Labrador retriever mix Dog for adoption to a very loving home in or near Bradenton, Florida. This very special pup is 22 months years old and weighs 70 pounds. Richie is in excellent health. He is neutered and up to date on shots.

Richie is a typical young Labrador Retriever mix. He is full of energy and doesn’t want the party to stop when it is time for bed. He loves to swim and has an endless appetite for fun and games. This is a typical Lab trait – they are goofy puppies until they reach about 2 years of age. Richie is almost there!

His family loves him very much, but are not able to give Richie the consistent behavior modification, exercise and structure that he needs to grow into the world’s best dog. They are hoping to find Richie a home with experienced Lab owners who can give him what his family cannot.

A home with another dog-friendly and high energy dog would be ideal for him. He needs a big, securely fenced yard, and owners who like to visit the beach frequently.

If you have room in your heart and home for this delightful Labrador Retriever mix, please be sure to get in touch. Richie can’t wait to wag and wiggle his way into your heart and home.
