Shiloh Weimaraner Boxer Mix Dog For Adoption near DecaturGA 5

Meet Shiloh  – A Weimaraner and Boxer Mixed Breed Dog Near Decatur GA

Being a little bit older isn’t easy for any of us, and Shiloh the Weimaraner mix is experiencing just that. She is 9 years young and in good health, but not happy about having to share her home with another dog, after years of being the center of her owners world.

Shiloh has had a few scraps with the canine newcomer, a recent addition to her home after her owner got married.  And for this reason, Shiloh is hoping to find a loving home with one or two retired or senior dog lovers within a reasonable distance of Decatur GA.

Why is Shiloh Being Placed For Adoption

My husband and I each had a dog entering our relationship. Shiloh is very attached to my husband and has anxiety when he is around. Shiloh has bitten our other dog on two separate occasions in the neck as well as my husbands mother’s dog once. The triggers have been toys/food also one occasion when my husband was sick Shiloh bit our other dog when she tried to come near him.

We put Shiloh in boot camp after the first instance, but it happened again. We have learned to remove triggers and live with it for about 3 years.

Now we are expecting our first child in March. We just cannot take the risk with the baby coming. We will have less time to spend watching the dogs and there will most likely be toys and food on the floor more frequently.

Personality

When Shiloh is not triggered, she is very sweet and extremely smart. She is housebroken and knows lots of tricks. She is protective and barks at strangers and cars that drive by, but has never injured a person. She is food motivated and loves walks and belly scratches.
Feeding Routine

Shiloh currently is being fed:

Other

Purina One Lamb and Rice
we feed her 1.5 cups twice a day.
