New Braunfels, TX 09/23/2023 Gucci’s owners had always hoped they could provide a loving, forever home for their precious dog – but life’s circumstances had other plans for them.
” We’re reaching out to the community for some help with a sweet little Chihuahua named Gucci. We helped my mother-in-law get Gucci as a baby in 2018 when she relocated to Texas so she could be closer to family after she lost her husband.
She adored her little dog so much and both have had a great life until recently. My MIL had a bad fall and was in recovery care for quite a long time during which we took Gucci in and cared for her. Recently, my MIL passed due to complications and infection.
Having Gucci in our home hasn’t been the perfect situation for Gucci though. She isn’t used to so much chaos and is scared of our big dog. Even though we do all that we can to help her feel safe and comfortable, it is obvious that she is stressed out as she has small bald spots that she has never had before. I feel terrible for her that she misses her mama. –
I have tried reached out to the Chihuahua adoption agencies, online groups, shelters (which I would prefer not to do) with out any success. I am desperate to help Gucci and I know with the right connections there is a perfect home for her. Can you help spread the world about her? Or do you possibly have a foster that could take her in?”

When asked to describe Gucci’s personality, Ashley stated; “Sweet calm cute loyal loves to be dressed up”.
When asked to share a heartwarming memory of life with Gucci , Ashley stated: “She is nuts for pistachios. She will hi-5 all day for more. Most of the time she is pretty laid back but every now and then she gets her toys and really loves a good tug of war. She loves to be dressed up in cold weather.”.
Gucci’s owner, Ashley, is heartbroken to have to make this very difficult decision, but is hopeful that a great new home can be found where all of Gucci’s needs will be met.
Gucci’s perfect new home would offer; “The idea family would be looking for a companion dog. Maybe they work from home or on the road and would enjoy a dog that is easy to take along. Gucci likes to do what ever her human is doing.
A home with calm children and small dogs would suit her. She doesn’t mind cats.”. Gucci is very fond of Gucci’s perfect day: She loves to be with you – she is a easy going companion. She like nest in her little bed and be covered with her baby blanket.
She loves TV. She loves being petted, brushing, car rides, walks, hiking, pistachios & giving Hi-5’s she will come with her cars seat, bed, covers, harness, leash, collar, & clothes.
She loves to be dressed in warm clothes when the weather is cold. She has been fed a real food diet of cooked meat and veggies the past several months. She was eating refrigerated store bough before. At nighttime, she loves to snuggle down in the covers in bed with her human. She is a sweet dainty girl very willing to please..
Gucci will be rehomed with supplies. There is a $150 adoption/rehoming fee.
