Also known as the English Toy Terrier, the Toy Manchester Terrier is a pint-sized pooch with a wonderful personality. Almost resembling a tiny little Doberman Pinscher, this diminutive terrier breed hails from Manchester, England. The Toy Manchester Terrier is thought to be the ancestor of a variety of dog breeds, including the Black and Tan Terrier, the Whippet, and the Italian Greyhound.
The Toy Manchester Terrier differs from his cousin, the Manchester Terrier due to two distinct characteristics; his smaller size, and his uncropped ears.
Toy Manchester Terriers make charming family pets. Their size does not make them a good choice for families with toddlers, who could inadvertently harm this puny pooch, but in families with children old enough to realize that the dog is not a toy, this is a wonderful choice, and is a healthy, well mannered and very long lived breed of dog that will provide you with many years of love, joy and companionship.
