Oakie Acres Bloodhounds has been specializing in uniting top
quality Bloodhounds with caring, responsible owners for more than 27 years.
Located in sunny, rural California, our kennel is small, and our focus is
on breeding to improve the Bloodhound. Before any of our "kids"
are mated, we carefully research each pedigree. We endeavor to breed Bloodhounds
that exemplify the breed standard in health, temperament, conformation and
ability. Our dogs excel in conformation, obedience, tracking and trailing,
and search and rescue. We do our best to match the right dog with the right
person, and, as law enforcement officers, give special consideration for law
enforcement agencies. We are proud to be members of the Northwest Bloodhounds
Association, and all of our dogs are AKC registered.

As responsible breeders, the health, wellbeing
and longevity of our puppies is our primary concern. We take careful measures
to ensure that our dogs and puppies are healthy and free from congenital diseases.
Our dogs are carefully screened for genetic health problems including hips
and elbows, and puppies undergo a thorough veterinary examination and are
vaccinated and de-wormed. We also offer a 3 year guarantee against hip problems
and genetic disorders as detailed in our sales contract.

Our main concern is the happiness and well-being
of our puppies. We prefer to place our puppies only in homes with responsible
families who have researched the Bloodhound breed and are ready and able to
carry out the responsibilities that go along with owning one of these very
special dogs. Potential buyers should have a securely fenced yard, and the
time and resources to care for the puppy's needs. Above all, the puppy
should live indoors with it's new family and be treated with love and
respect. We love to stay in touch with our new "extended families"
and are always happy to provide any advice or support that you may require
as you adjust to life with your new family member. If, at any time or for
any reason you are unable to keep your Oakie Acres Bloodhound puppy, we will
gladly take it back. We do not want our puppies ever to end up homeless, or
in a pound, shelter or rescue.
