Bullmastiff! Originally developed in England in the early part of
this Century as a gamekeeper's watch dog, the Bullmastiff has gained
popularity throughout North America. Powerful and compact, this
breed excels as police, guard and army dog, and makes a loyal,
loving, protective family pet. Grooming requirements are minimal - a
good weekly rub-down gets rid of dead hairs and keeps it's short
coat gleeming. These dogs prefer to have room to roam, but have also
done well in apartments provided that regular walks are offered.
