A favored canine companion of German nobility,
the Weimaraner has often been called "Grey Ghost"
because of it's distinct, steel grey coat and
harmonizing eye and nose and skin pigmentation.
Originally used exclusively as an all-purpose gun
dog for the nobility, the Weimaraner has found it's
way into the hearts and homes of dog-lovers
worldwide over the past century. This aristocratic
looking breed makes a loyal, affectionate and
protective family pet, and excels in wild game
hunting and obedience training. Weimaraners stand
from 23 to 27 inches at the shoulder. The sleek,
steel-grey coat requires minimal grooming - weekly
brushing keeps it clean and shiny. Weimaraners are
very intelligent and are easily trained. They do
best in country settings or homes with large yards.
Weimaraners enjoy plenty of outdoor exercise.
