About the Toy (Teacup) Poodle

toypoodle[1].jpg (13281 bytes)At a diminutive 10 inches or less at the shoulder, the Toy Poodle is the smallest member of the Poodle trio. With it's high level of intelligence and bright, amusing disposition, these tiny toys make wonderful pets for adults and well-behaved, older children. Despite thier lack of size, the Toy Poodle is not lacking in "big dog courage", and makes a good watch-dog (although probably better-suited for guarding your purse than your home). His space and exercise needs are minimal, making this little fella a great choice for apartment dwellers and less active or disabled people. Toy Poodles love to be pampered, and needs frequent brushing and regular grooming to keep the desired outline. The dense, harsh coat comes in all solid colors, and can be trimmed in a variety of styles (maybe even to match your own!) Although a robust breed, Toy Poodles are not suitable for families with small children.
