Once
known as the "Coquetdale Terrier", the Border Terrier was developed in the
North of England to hunt fox. These "tiny terrors" weigh up to 14 pounds and
make excellent family pets. Small, smart and spunky, these adorable little
terriers are extremely affectionate and eager-to-please, and love being part
of a happy family - especially one with well-behaved children to play with.
Their coarse coats should be raked regularly to keep them neat and tidy.
Border Terriers do equally well with city or country life. They should be
exercised daily to keep them happy, and be sure you have a well-fenced yard,
