Bedlington Terrier Dog Training
When it comes to cuddly, you can't get much cuddlier than
the Bedlington Terrier - in looks... or personality. These
beautiful, intelligent and charming dogs are the oldest and most laid
back of the terrier group, and have been described as "Lamb-like" from
their soft, wooly coats to their loveable, eager-to-please nature. The
breed was originally developed in Bedlingtonshire, England in the 1800's
as a favored working dog of miners. It's unique, stuffed-toy appearance
and pleasing personality made it popular among English dog fanciers, and
the breed can now be found in homes throughout the world. These gentle,
loving dogs love children and make excellent family pets for families
with a large, fenced yard and lots of love to offer. They are easy to
train and excel in obedience and agility sports. They require daily
exercise and weekly brushing to keep the soft, curly coat matt-free.
Regular trimming is also required to keep the distinctive look.
